Mural Tile, it’s all in your mind !

Mural tile in your home?  Don’t be afraid, let your imagination
be your muse when choosing your mural tile.

Mural tile is a wonderful way of incorporating tile in your decorating schemes.  Look around and just think of the projects you can do using mural tile.

I understand that economically times are tough.  Purchasing or selling a home is not a great idea right now but doing some "remodeling" in your own home can add value and even get you to love your own home again.  The products on this website can all be done by the homeowner so you won't have to add the extra cost of having someone install these products.  You can do it and it is a lot of fun to recreate your space.   I also have a couple of books on this site that can help you "do it yourself".  Also, don't forget to sign up for product sales and promotions so I can help you achieve your creative goals and save you money at the same time.

The projects below are things I have done in my own home.  I want to introduce to you this website, where you can find products and information to help you get creative in your own home. Don't be afraid to learn to do it yourself.

If you have any questions, or need any help, please go to the "contact us" and email me and I will help in any way I can.

Are you ready to get creative?

One of my projects was to take an old coffee table, remove the glass top and put a mural tile on the top of the table using two different colors and sizes of marble tiles.  Very easy to do and turned out beautifully.

One of the easiest floors I have ever put in was a ceramic mosaic mural tile floor in my kitchen. It was actually fun to purchase 12 inch mural tiles and break them with a hammer. Then, after putting the adhesive down, place the pieces as you would a puzzle. You can be very creative with either solid or different colors of tile.  I personally put them right over the vinyl floor as the vinyl is the perfect moisture barrier.

Another great suggestion is a pebble tile floor or river rock floor. I put one down in my bathroom. It is so easy to care for. What is easier to clean than river rock? My goal was to get the bathroom to look like a beach. With river rock instead of mural tile, I was able to reach that goal. The river rock comes in 12 inch tile like squares with mesh. Putting a river rock floor down is the same as putting mural tile down. The rock comes in many different colors and sizes so be creative when thinking about how you want it to look. A great alternative to mural tile.

One of the ways I created a festive and pretty kitchen was to decorate that irritating “blank” wall. I went to the nearest garden store and bought some white picket fencing that is usually used in gardens. I then went to the nearest paint store and purchased 3 different garden stencils and stencil paint. I taped the garden stencils to the wall, painted them all different colors. After it dried, I screwed  the white picket fence right into the wall. I now have a garden where there was once a blank wall. The mosaic mural tile floor actually now looks like a pathway to the garden.

I have always wanted a kitchen backsplash. For this particular project I placed the mural tile in the center behind the stove and surrounded that with a solid color tile. It is one of the most eye catching pieces in the kitchen.

There are so many things you can do using all different kinds of ceramic, mosaic, marble, or mural tile. So get out there and be creative when choosing your mural tile.
